The databases

In order to better preserve the marine mammals it is necessary to be able to know them. To do this, scientists but also professional or amateur naturalists will collect data in the field.

We believe that uniting to have as much information as possible is the best way to create innovative and useful projects for the conservation of marine mammals.

A database is a collection of information that is organized so that it can be easily accessed, managed and updated. Depending on uses and structures, several types of databases may exist, from a simple excel spreadsheet to an online database with an integrated mapping system.

In this section we popose some databases open to record your observations...do it and take part in the knowledge effort!
